Nested taxonomy view is too nested

The combination of Views and lineage.module is a great start to replacing the old article.module - however it's got odd behaviour when browsing the taxonomy tree.

From the main ?q=tree page i click any term and it then shows me a page listing just the same term again. I then have to click that term in order to get to a view listing all the nodes who are associated to the term.

Why the extra step in the middle, it appears to serve no purpose?
