Since the video module now supports CCK, is this module being superseded?

No idea behind this module is to have simplest possible upload of videos to nodes. VideoField is much lighter and simpler solution from Video module and doesn't require any tables in database. Therefore for people that needs only upload and display of videos, VideoField is best option.
