Hi,

I can't seem to determine the best workflow for using Video + SWFTools for embedding video into node content. I know SWFTools supports input filters such as [swf file="URI-TO-FILE"], which works, but I can't find any way in Video to actually see the converted video's filepath+filename so I can use the input filter. Currently the only way I can get the URI is going to FTP and finding the converted video. This isn't going to work for the people who will be running the site.

Currently I've created a Video content type. I can display video in static positions with Views, etc., but what I'm really trying to do is allow the users to embed converted videos in blog posts at will. (Similar to what the Input module does for images I suppose, though I don't necessarily want the users to be able to upload the video directly in the blog node like they do with Insert.)

Any thoughts on the whole pipeline would be appreciated.

Title: SFWTools integration w/ input filter? Or a better way to insert converted video into content? » Answering my own question...
Status: Active » Closed (fixed)

Well, it's not the greatest but I came up with my own set of tools.

Video
SWFTools
IMCE
CKEditor
CKEditor_swf

It's not the greatest, but at least with IMCE I can browse to files. CKEditor_swf is an addon module for CKEditor that basically rewrites CKEditor's flash output with an input format filter. I had to modify the module myself to rewrite the

out to swftools format.
