Hi all,
As a token of my gratitude to this nice module, i've written a quick guide on how to get FFMPEG installed and running, as well as binding it to the Video module in order to get it to work.
It works on my end on 4 different Drupal setups on 4 different servers, but please note that the Video module version I have is about a year old, based on 5x-1.6, and not the -dev or post February 2008 versions. I haven't tested them yet, but will do hopefully next week.
The guide can be found here:

I'd like the users comments, either here or on the discussion page on the wiki, to see if it works for you all or not, and how to improve the guide..
Thanks.

zottmann commentedHi!
Fine documentation! I think it deserves to go to the Drupal handbooks section!

oadaeh commentedI just wanted to make a recommendation for your documentation. For the video_renderer.php and video_scheduler.php files, it would be better to create links rather than copying them. That way, if there's an update to those files, you don't have to remember to copy those files again.
In Drupal's root directory, just do the following:
(or to where ever you have the Video module installed).

Anonymous (not verified) commentedThanks for the input so far. I'll put the changes in on the weekend. I need to check for any problems that may arise with using simlinks as such with apache. If anything, It can be included in an 'advanced' box in its section.
And thanks for recommending the drupal documentation. I'll consider it after we're sure the guide works flawlesly on more distributions, and especially on the latest stable-to-be version of the module.
