Hi!
Firstoffall: Thanks for that great module!
I have installed the video module on a Ubuntu 14.04 server (Trusty Thar), which shippes avconv Vers. 9.16.
When I specify the path to avconv on /admin/config/media/video/transcoders, I get the following Error:
"FFmpeg version 9.16 was found, but no supported codecs could be found"
I did the following to debug:
I have a second Server which runs Debian squeeze which comes with 8.6. On that server video transcoding runs fine.
I took the commandline that is executed to transcode when uploading a video on the older debian server an run the same command on the newer ubuntu server and that also works fine.
/usr/bin/avconv -i 'test2.avi' -vf 'scale=0:360' -strict experimental -vcodec 'libx264' -acodec 'aac' -ac '2' -ar '22050' -y '/tmp/test2.mp4'
So i think that maybe it is only the check funktion that is run when specifiying the transcoder which does not understand the output of the new avconv Version.
I added the Output of /admin/config/media/video/ffmpeg-info?ffmpegpath=/usr/bin/avconv from the new Ubuntu-Server as an attachment to this issue.
Is there a Chance that I can run the module with the "on-board" new avconv version, or do i have to compile original ffmpeg?
Yours
Gerd

Informations AvConv : avconv version 9.16-6:9.16-0ubuntu0.14.04.1
FFmpeg version 9.16 was found, but no supported codecs could be found. Please check whether FFmpeg and all support libraries have been installed correctly.
Visit the FFmpeg debug page for information thay may help you find the cause of this problem.

millenniumtreeArrr! Here be a patch!
I literally removed a single space from the regex in phpvideotoolkit.php5.php

millenniumtreeAlso had to check the "Force one-pass encoding" box in the preset's "Advanced Video Settings" fieldset.
This is for MP4/H.264/AAC audio.
Probably want to test the patch with ffmpeg as well as avconv, just in case.

retiredpro commentedPatch from #3 worked for me. Also, settings from #4 solved another problem I ran into. Double thanks, millenniumtree!

Rhino-new commentedYour patch still works! Or well, the patch didn't but I copied your line straight into my phpvideotoolkit.php5.php and now my Video versions works as well.
