Hi Cracy Techie,

The video module is intended to help transcode videos for variable bitrate playback and easy player insertion using the player of your choice. It does not provide chapters or cue points.

A quick search revealed this module that may be closer to what you're looking for:
https://drupal.org/project/popcorn_chapters

Alternatively, you may want to checkout the Brightcove module (full disclosure, I work for this company):
https://drupal.org/project/brightcove

I haven't used either module extensively, so your mileage may vary. I would recommend posting this as a discussion in the forum to get more input from the Drupal community at large.

Best of luck in your project!!

Cheers
Bryce

Here's a little more info from one of our engineers about your question, Cracy:

The brief answer: no out-of-the-box solution, but, it is possible.

The long answer: utilizing Cue-points and the Player API, a 'chaptered' user experience can be achieved.

A technical discussion with example: http://docs.brightcove.com/en/video-cloud/smart-player-api/solutions/cha...

You don't need a module to do this. All you need is to save your cue-points as data, and then have something reespond to them. I say 'something' because there's plenty of choice.

For example, YouTube now accepts URLs in the form http://youtube.com/watch?v=tUIuTkjY#t=1m22s . You can easily convert a cue point into a URL to any point in a YouTube video.

Ifyou have Javascript and HTML5 available, you can make buttons with js behind them that use the currenttime object.

Finally, Drupal supports a few different video players, like jPlayer and VideoJS, one of which could handle this for you.

Sorry, I can't recommend one particular solution, but I hope this helps. Happy travels.
