Hi,
I've installed Video and Flowplayer API. I've then uploaded a video using a new content type. I have not installed Zencoder, and I've specified "no conversion" for the uploaded video. I also use a standard image for a thumbnail.
I have specified that the video should buffer on page load and in the background.
When opening the video node, the video is shown fine. However, the browser load icon (spinner) keeps spinning, and the video does not buffer - not very much, at least. Furthermore, I am unable to move the scrubber, neither back nor forth.
The video is MP4.
Thanks!

jorrit commentedCould you give a link to the video page?
DeNelo commentedI have sent the link to your Contact address.
Thank you.
jorrit commentedI think the input video doesn't support streaming or is damaged. I suggest trying to transcode it with FFmpeg or Zencoder.
DeNelo commentedI've tried with two videos from different sources. Still IE9 plays them nicely, and you can use the caching. Chrome, however, can only play the videos from the beginning through to the end - you can't move the pointer (it jumps back to where you were at).
I have upgraded to 2.8 - no luck.
Doesn't anybody else have that problem?
jorrit commentedAre you still not using transcoding?
DeNelo commentedNo I'm not. Can you (or someone) point me to a ffmpeg installation guide..?
Isn't it a lot of drain on the server to transcode videos?
And should it really be necessary? I mean if they are produced in a controlled environment according to certain specs, it shouldn't be necessary - or?
DeNelo commentedHave installed ffmpeg (1.0). Proof of transcoding is, I believe, that I now have several thumbnails to choose from.
But I still can't scrobble in Webkit browsers. Would you take a look again? I'll send you path through your Contact page.
Thanks!

jorrit commentedSolved this issue privately: installing Resumable Download solved the problem.

DeNelo commentedAnd I confirm this with thanks to Jorrit.
