Drush is an excellent framework for interacting with Drupal on the CLI and that should not be duplicated in this module. video_scheduler.php should be deprecated in favor of a dependency on Drush for non-cron based transcoding activation.

This seems like a great idea! I think improving the user interface and documentation are the highest priorities at the moment, but this should definitely be done.
