Installed Video Module nd Flowplayer Module and configured as per guidelines.
Configured flowplayer for "flv" files.
Created video content type , then created content, on uploading video it show thumbnails that mean ffmpeg is working fine.
But when i submit videos other than "flv", it's not getting converted and flowplayer showing "200 stream not found error".
When i check drupal log it shows some ffmpeg command executed, which when runn from command line does not convert video.
I think thats why video not getting converted and flowplyer cannot find it in folder.
In folder /sites/default/files/videos/converted found no converted video.
Can see uploaded videos in /sites/default/files/videos.
environment : drupal 6.3

ohzbees commentedI see the same thing with no conversion taking place. The ffmpeg command is not appropriate to convert the video to FLV. I have that preset selected and FlowPlayer setup. The command I see in the log is:
Executing command: /usr/bin/ffmpeg -i '<NAME OF FILE>' 2>&1Thumbnails generated no problem.

damaddhacker commentedI'm seeing the same thing....I've created my content type to upload a video (mov, flv, avi) and to convert once node is saved. What I've been to do is convert test.avi and convert to test.flv and results are:
1. I see the uploaded file /files/videos/original folder
2. I see no converted *.flv file in the /files/videos converted folder or in my configured /files/videos/[user] folder
3. I do see thumbs in configured /flies/videos/thumb_import folder
FFMPEG is working because I have upload files to root /var/www/ and then user FFMPEG to convert the files. So maybe I'm configuring the module wrong? Please help!

Rhino commentedHow frustrating.
I'm seeing the same things you are, the thumbnails generate fine. I know my ffmpeg is working as I have it converting video (with a hacked media mover module and a homebrew module) in another site on the very same server.
I also know that Video module can work swimmingly, as I have it functioning on another site, at another host, but there I use zencoder to convert and amazon to store the files. It takes a bit too long for this project, so that's why I'm attempting to use video and ffmpeg on its own here.
I keep getting stuck in this very spot you are stuck in. It's difficult to see where it's going wrong with such a short log message, is it in the moving/copying of the file?

aacraig commentedIt looks like there is a bug on line 409 in video.module.
The line:
should be:
because the checkbox element is returning a value whether or not it's checked -- it's returning 0 for an unchecked state and 1 for a checked state.

jantoine commentedThe fix in #4 works. Leaving active until a patch is supplied, then can be updated to RTBC.

mobonobomo commentedI'm running into the same issue described here, with Video 7.x-1.0-alpha2. I know that FFMPEG is working because the thumbnails are being generated and it is picking up the dimensions of the uploaded videos. However, there are no converted videos in the files/videos/converted folders. Any thoughts?

buzzeke commentedAfter searching on my own (think it s the same problem) I found that if you have no preset selected under "presets" configuration tab, no video is being converted at all... it just doesn't execute the command then. Which makes sense if I think about it, but it might be helpfull to state that video conversion just doesnt work without a preset....
the thing is, now I have a converted file in my /converted folder.. but the node still shows the original avi file... shouldn't this be changed after the conversion? any ideas?

0000sir commentedStill not working after patched the code. This log shows there's no encoding preset was transfer to the command line, but I do choose every preset.
Executing command: /usr/bin/ffmpeg -i '<NAME OF FILE>' 2>&1so, any ideas?

0000sir commentedhmm, I used swftools-2.5 but not swftools-3.0 cause it's on beta, it's that the reason the transcoding doesn't work?

0000sir commentedFML, that's my fault, I didn't check "Enable video conversion." in the video field configuration. since I used this module for 6 months, what I can tell....囧

jorrit commentedPlease try again with the latest video version and open a new issue if it doesn't work.
