Hey,
I have a little problem with converting videos to .flv through flash_hq preset and I've no idea what to do, cause I'm kinda amateur.
Here's the error
Video conversion failed for preset hq_flash. FFMPEG reported the following output: FFmpeg version r11872+debian_0.svn20080206-18+lenny1, Copyright (c) 2000-2008 Fabrice Bellard, et al. configuration: --enable-gpl --enable-libfaad --enable-pp --enable-swscaler --enable-x11grab --prefix=/usr --enable-libgsm --enable-libtheora --enable-libvorbis --enable-pthreads --disable-strip --enable-libdc1394 --disable-armv5te --disable-armv6 --disable-altivec --disable-vis --enable-shared --disable-static libavutil version: 49.6.0 libavcodec version: 51.50.0 libavformat version: 52.7.0 libavdevice version: 52.0.0 built on Jan 28 2010 20:57:25, gcc: 4.3.2 Input #0, mov,mp4,m4a,3gp,3g2,mj2, from 'sites/default/files/videos/original/lfw_4.mp4': Duration: 00:00:08.0, start: 0.000000, bitrate: 475 kb/s Stream #0.0(und): Audio: mpeg4aac, 44100 Hz, stereo Stream #0.1(und): Video: h264, yuv420p, 480x270 [PAR 0:1 DAR 0:1], 23.85 tb(r) WARNING: The bitrate parameter is set too low. Could you help me please? Because I'm desperate about it... :-X
Many thanks in advance,
Kazimir :o)

artycul commentedhi,
open your
sites/all/modules/video/video_preset/hq_flash.inc
and change the line
'!cmd_path -i !videofile -s !widthx!height -r 15 -b 250 -ar 22050 -ab 48 !convertfile'to
'!cmd_path -i !videofile -s !widthx!height -r 15 -b 250k -ar 22050 -ab 48 !convertfile'you can alter this line to your need, just take a look at the ffmpeg-documentation. you could enable 2-pass encoding for higher quality for instance.

Kaziq commentedwell, I've tried it and one of the warnings dissapeared, but it's still the same. Any idea?

artycul commentedoh, sorry, sure... '-ab 48' also needs a 'k' ;)

Kaziq commentedyep, I thought... :) ok, 2nd warning dissapeared but but it's still the same :-X
I checked both directories original and converted and it's not creating .flv file in converted directory o.O
It's creating thumbnails etc, just not the file...

artycul commentedi think this is a permissions-issue then, do you have shell access to your space? if so, try running ffmpeg by hand, like:
i think you'll get a better error then... if it works, the problem is with writing permissions in your folder-structure.
i'm using completely different commands for my flash encoding, you can try those too:
i doubt these will work for you, though, as your output above indicates, that your ffmpreg-build is missing libx264 and libfaac-support. i see you're using debian, so maybe this is helpful for building ffmpeg:
