Hi!
I love this module, but I'm having a slight issue while using it with Hierarchical Select.
Basically I have two vocabularies, one uses Hierarchical Select and the other uses the standard taxonomy drop down. When using the standard taxonomy drop down, the selected term appears under "Vocabularies" in the vertical tab description. However, when using HS, the description appears as "NULL" even when a term has been selected. I assume this is because once a term has been added with HS, the drop down returns to the default (which is nothing selected) and the selected terms appear below the add form. Although, before a term has been "added" with HS, it does appear in the tab description, however it appears as NULLterm.
I'm not sure how to fix this, but any help/suggestions are greatly appreciated! :)

dave reidAJAX-y things don't work very well in vertical tabs. So I'm willing to bet this is a duplicate of #656580: Fields with #prefix and #suffix fail miserably with vertical tabs. I'll look into HS quickly to confirm that.

dave reidIf you happen to be using the Form module also try disabling it as it's been reported in that module as well: #656048: Conflicts with hierarchical select module

dyke it commentedThanks for the help!
I can say for sure the form module is not an issue. It wasn't enabled but I tried it with and without and it seems to have no effect.
I'm not sure if it's related to the prefix/suffix issue. I think it might be an issue with HS itself? When there are no children in the hierarchy HS and VT work perfectly (the selected term is populated in the VT summary exactly as it should).
When there are children a couple of different things happen. No matter what configuration I use, the "null" always appears in front of the selected term(s) as "nullterm" (there is no space between null and term).
HS uses a dropbox for for adding multiple terms. By disabling the dropbox, both selected terms (parent and child) appear in the VT summary as "nullparent, child".
Enabling the dropbox but disabling the option to reset the drop down menu after a term has been added to the dropbox gives a few different results. When the parent and child are selected in the drop down menu, the summary shows "nullparent, ,". After the term has been added to the dropbox, the summary shows "nullparent, child,".
Enabling the dropbox and enabling the reset menu option gives slightly different results. When the parent and child are selected in the drop down menu, the summary shows "nullparent, ," but after the terms are added to the dropbox the summary shows "null" again.
None of the other HS settings seem to make a difference.
Maybe I should be posting this in the HS queue? Thanks again for the help! :)
Cheers,
Theresa

dave reidJust checked a look into the HS code and indeed it's most likely the root problem with #656580: Fields with #prefix and #suffix fail miserably with vertical tabs. As such, I'm marking this as a duplicate of that issue.

Renee S commentedDave, that's for Drupal 7. Any hope for us Drupal 6 users? The patch on that issue seems to actually be a few core patches...

Renee S commentedOk, so I rolled a patch against Vertical Tabs's taxonomy.js that should fix this - posted it in the HS queue but it should probably be here 'cause it's against this module, but this is marked as the dupe... :)
