Need to group commits by date (see http://drupal.org/cvs for example) as h3 type for theming purposes.

Also when fixing this remove date from the commit-global field for all views so we aren't duplicating information.

Per mikey_p's advice this may not be possible without adding extra modules etc., so this is most likely not possible.
