I'm using varnish 4.1.11, I was making some tests about purging.
My configuration: Varnish cache clearing: Drupal default; Flush page cache on cron: disabled.
If I make a PURGE call with curl from localhost it works.
If I flush cache from admin/config/development/performance it works.
If I edit a node, cache is not purged.
How to debug it?
