Hi, this is a bit of a selfish, last minute, and perhaps naiive question:
As K knows, I run a scholarship competition on ProgressiveU.org. We have been busy upgrading to 5.2 and getting the bugs worked out, and we are mostly good to go. However, the new contest starts tomorrow -- 9/1.
I want to install a version of userpoints tonight, so we can track the points relevant to our contest from the beginning. We won't use any of the API functions at first, but we do want to use some of the email functions eventually.
I see that a lot of work has gone into the dev version since the 2.14 release. Is it stable? Should I go with that version to get your latest updates, or should I use your 2.14 version and wait until you release something official?

funana commentedI installed it and it seems to be stable... but have a look into the issues here, because there may be some things to patch...

jredding commentedAlways use dev at your own risk, dev should never be considered stable.
Stable = Stable
Dev = development; use at your own risk.
Although I'd love to say that dev is stable I don't know what will be committed today or tomorrow thus dev should never be considered stable.
