XMLRPC

Hi,

I would like to use an external function to change user points. I understand that userpoints has a service module. I have installed the Services module and enable the userpoint-service.

The Readme file comes with the distribution give an example of how to use xmlrpc as follow:

userpoints.get

string api_key (required)
A valid API key.
int uid (required)
A valid Drupal User ID.
int tid (optional)
An optional Term ID for the category.

Example:

$result = xmlrpc($server_url, 'userpoints.get', $key, $uid, $tid);
// $result is an array
// 'points' => 123

However, xmlrpc is not a valid PHP function. And it's not clear what's the exact meaning of $key.

Would you please give a short tutorial of how to set up the userpoints-service?
