Hello, right now 7.x-2.x is still in development but I would like to know if it's safe to use 7.x-1.x and expect it to be full compatible with 7.x-2.x when it's ready for production.

If not, when do you expect to have a safe 7.x-2.x so people can use Userpoints in Drupal7 knowing that they won't have problems in the future? Thanks :)

Yes, there will be a supported upgrade path. Obviously, only in one direction, and you can't downgrade.

You can safely use 7.x-1.x now and upgrade once 7.x-2.x is stable enough.

I'm not sure when Userpoints 7.x-2.x will be read, I do not have much time currently to work on this.
