Send welcome email notification to a new user

Hi,

What I am trying to achieve is this. In my website new users can register with their email and password and no email is sent to verify the new account because I want to make things easier for new users.
Anyway I would like to send a welcome email after registering. I think the only way around is with rules but I am not sure how to do it.
I am using email register module and logintoboggan.
Any help will be great.
