I've just tried my first clean install of user_import-6.x-1.0-beta1 on my D6.10 multisite, ran the update.php script and got these in reply:

* Failed: ALTER TABLE {user_import_errors} DROP PRIMARY KEY
* Failed: ALTER TABLE {user_import_errors} CHANGE errors `errors` LONGTEXT NOT NULL, ADD INDEX 0 ()

Is this just my personal problem or is there something else going on?

What should I do next? Try to use the module anyway?

If it's a clean install, i.e. if you are not updating a previously installed version of User Import, you don't need to run the update.php script. That is the same for any other module.
