Issue SourceValueItem field synchronized translations introduced a new field item list class for the ui_patterns_source field type.
It overrides function defaultValueWidget() with return NULL; which results in not being able to set a default value for a field component.
Was there a specific reason for this override?

just_like_good_vibesThe default value widget was probably hidden to protect synchronized translations.
The MR !578 brings the widget back for default value, adds the missing config schema for default values, and keeps new synchronized translations empty so they show the original language until someone translates them.
