Cancel recurring payments from Ubercart

I have recurring subscription setup in my site which uses paypal wps payment method. Now I tried to delete the subscriprtions when an user gets deleted. I tried using uc_recurring_fee_cancel to cancel the subscriptions but it does not deletes the recurring from paypal. These subscriptions still showing as active. Is there any way to delete those recurring fees from paypal in ubercart?
