Ok, so i figured this out. This seemed to be caused by opting to not have an image in the product content type. When i changed the drop down back to "image" this error goes away.

Is this a regular product you're trying to add to your cart or is it a product class that you've defined?

OK. We should definitely allow you to turn the image off. I guess no one has tested that until now!

I can confirm, had the same issue. I had a content type that was a product but had removed the image field as I'm selling music licenses that have no need for product images. I had to recreate the image field and select it instead of none and it fixed the issue.

Good find on the work around. Saved me some serious time but should be able to remove that field if it's not needed.
