I want to test this great looking module. But with which version should I test?
I see patches against 6.2.dev and 6.3.dev? Is there a upgrade path?
What do you suggest please?

the 3.x branch of the Twitter module is not ready for use in any way. The recommended version on the project home page (at this point, 2.5) is the one you should be using. :-)
