Is there a way to configure the "Twitter link converter" so that it only alters links in the tweets, and not the links that are viewed on my own site?

As things are now, it appears that links in any node on my site where the filter has "Twitter link converter" checked are given target="_blank" and rel="nofollow" regardless of how I set those attributes in my nodes.

Also would appreciate some feedback about use case for this feature. Could be I'm just not getting what it's intended for.

Gah, just figured out that the use case is probably for content that is specifically created for twitter tweeting, not as a way to output portions of nodes as tweets, or something.

Hence one would create a special content type for tweeting on the site as a way to tweet from there as opposed to on, say, twitter.com.
