People getting crossed out and not placed in brackets

Hi,

I recently started using this module more and it works generally quite well, however I'm a bit confused about some of the behavior.

When a bracket tournament starts, seemingly random people get literally crossed off the list of participants. They don't get included and their name is stricken through on the list. There are plenty of slots for everyone. I can't have people who signed up being excluded. There are BYEs going on in these same tournaments, so it makes no sense to me as to why it would exclude them.

Is there any way to change this behavior, or perhaps I am not fully understanding why it's happening and can avoid it some how?
