Hi, you mentioned you were going to add support for CKEditor. Just wondering when we might see it. Thanks so much. All the best.

tronathan commentedImplementing this feature in the existing module requires modification of the wysiwyg module for two hooks (see: http://drupal.org/project/tinymce_node_picker under "Version 2.x"). I would be interested in adding these hooks to support CK, but I need an overview of how the implementation would work.
Blixxxa, can you tell me anything about how to implement openDialog and closeDialog? Is there an example of another function which has been implemented this way which I can look at? All of the documentation I've found talks about implementing the existing API, but not extending it.
I can open an issue against wysiwyg and apply for comaintainership if that is what we need to do to get this implemented.
peter törnstrand commentedI doubt you will get approved as co-maintainer in that project. However, you could always open an issue for implementing the required open/closeDialog functions and supply a patch. Does Wysiwyg module really support CKEditor? Thought they still only supported FCKEditor...
tronathan commentedThe latest dev build of wysiwyg supports CK (http://drupal.org/node/462146)
Can you point me to a file and line where I can see an example implementation of a hook in wysiwyg that i could use to create the patch?
peter törnstrand commentedWell, the only implementation of openDialog and closeDialog that exists in Wysiwyg module is the one for TinyMCE 3.x
wysiwyg/editors/js/tinymce-3.jsline 165 and 175.If you look at that implementation you can see that it uses the TinyMCE API for opening/closing the dialog window. The corresponding calls using CKEditor API must be made in
wysiwyg/editors/js/ckeditor-3.0.js.See http://docs.cksource.com/ckeditor_api/symbols/CKEDITOR.dialog.html

CinemaSaville commentedIs there a possibility that this could get support the actual CKEditor module as well as WYSIWYG?
