Fugazi,

TinyMCE Node Picker has been superceded by Node Picker:

http://drupal.org/project/nodepicker

Node Picker will offer support for editors beyond TinyMCE.

Linkit is also a good option:

http://drupal.org/project/linkit

with over 2,000 installs.

Please have a look at that those.
