not sure this exists.. but surprised if it doesn't
it would be very cool to have a plugin for upload files inline in a tiny document - just a few random thoughts on this
- i currently use upload module to attach files to my pages (after editing content with tiny)
- but these attachments are all listed at the bottom of my page - would be nicer to have them inline with the content
- i have just tried out a combo of filestore2 and fscache for uploading files to my site - it works quite well plus gives me some sort of rev control and visiblity of number of times the file has been downloaded (i think that might be added functionality i got from scrypter)
- it seems to work very similar to image module - where i create content -> file upload
- and since so similar to image it seems like a module very similar to img_assit wouldn't be a stretch
so basically my idea would be:
- have a little file icon for tiny (like camera for img_assist)
- this would give you popup same as img_assit where you can select from existing files or upload a new one (which would then do a create content -> file upload just as img_assist does a cc -> image
- then (unlike image) you could pick some options for how this looks in your page - like possibly a set of icons that you could select to show your content type (such as pdf, zip, etc)
- not sure how the file uplaod stats gets tied into this???
SO:
- anyone know if this already exists?
- anyone but me think this is a pretty good idea?
