I am quite new to Drupal and have not experimented with the other visual editors available but like the Tiny editor and have been using version 2.1.3.

I have experimented with Tiny version 3.1.0.1 and wonder if someone can help clarify for me what steps are really necessary and what steps can be avoided when upgrading the Tiny module and the Tiny editor.

When upgrading the editor is it ok to simply replace the folder sites>all>modules>tinymce>tinymce with the new Tiny editor version files, clear the cache and carry on with or without update.php ? Or is it necessary to disable the TinyMCE module, uninstall the module, replace the whole module and re-enable?

Also, when just upgrading the module and not the editor, is it ok to keep the sites>all>modules>tinymce>tinymce folder that contains the editor and replace the other folders and files in the sites>all>modules>tinymce folder and then run update.php (which will also clear the cahce)?

Thanks,

Izzy
