I've been looking through the TinyMCE documentation for both the Drupal module and the Moxie code, and I'm stumped. I need to allow my users to paste content from Word into TinyMCE, sometimes involving tables, colored text and/or cell shading, but I need to limit many other kinds of formatting. In particular, font faces and sizes have been an ongoing problem. When my users paste content into TinyMCE, what they see in the editing window often doesn't look much like the final page. I think the MS styles are a big part of the problem. Also, we want to try to encourage a consistent look on our website, so we want to restrict font faces and sizes.
I tried adding the Safe HTML module, on the advice of another issue here, but that eliminates too much formatting (including tables and color). Another issue is that what the users see when they paste the content in is so different from the way the content looks after it is saved.
Is there a way to strip out the extraneous font style tags as the content is pasted in to the editor, and to do this without also stripping out table and color style tags? I'd also like to get rid of the reference to class="MsoNormal" in the paragraphs pasted in from Word.
Thanks!
