I thought this was a superuser-only problem, but now that i've decided to regard superuser as root, and created a different "admin" user, I'm noticing the same problem: When "authenticated user" is added to any profile, everyone uses that profile. If not, everything works perfectly.

I can't just use the same profile - I don't want users to have the img button, and i'd rather they didn't have the tables button.

actually a bug, isn't it?
v. 5.x-1.9 with TinyMCE 2.1.2

To clarify:
Two TinyMCE profiles - one for "authenticated user", another for "author, admin". This is while on a user with "admin" role. Whatever I seem to do, my user is (apparently) assigned "authenticated user" role. If i change something in the "authenticated user" TinyMCE profile (like add or a remove a button, change the editor appearance, ...) it changes it for my user, who should be using the "author, admin" profile. Likewise, if i change anything on the "author, admin" profile, no user sees any difference.

If i delete the "authenticated user" profile, everything's normal (for anyone with the "author, admin" profile - normal users lose their TinyMCE, of course).

I hope I didn't just miss some crucial piece of information while I was scrutinizing TinyMCE and other drupal settings for the last two days...
