If you set the Initial Date Focus to First Event in Timeline, it does not work. I am missing something. I tried Advanced Visualization Settings of Earliest Start but did not fix the problem. Please explain Earliest Start vs Latest End. And explain, Field Usage, Start vs End.

Thanks.

1. Could you please explain better what you mean with "it does not work"? And it would be nice to have an attached txt file with the output of the debug field. Please use your own ticket about this:#607338: Initial Date Focus not Working or the general issue #584086: Improving intial date settings logic

2. About the explanations: Have you seen the documentation? http://drupal.org/node/561738

If you have 10 events on the timeline, my thought is that the Initial Date Focus = "First Event on Timeline" means that when a person opens the timeline the first event will have the focus. That is not happening for me. It currently focuses, on the first event I actually put on the timeline and not the event that is the oldest (first listed) on the timeline.

You are completely right. This is a bug that is described here as well: #607338: Initial Date Focus not Working
And this issue is left open in #584086: Improving intial date settings logic

Marking this as a duplicate.
