Currently the Activity dropdown on the time entry form defaults to whatever activity type is placed first on the Activities configuration page. This leads to an issue where some users have the wrong default activity type for their role (e.g., I'm a designer but the default activity type is 'Copywriting') and if people forget to change it the time entry is categorized incorrectly.
I can think of two possible solutions.
1. Have the default activity type set by user role (e.g., default activity type is 'Design' for users with role 'Designer', but 'Copywriting' for users with role 'Writer'.)
2. Have the default activity type be unset (null) and make the field required, so users are forced to select the correct activity type.
Of these, 1 seems like the better solution but 2 seems simpler to implement. However, I can't seem to find a way to make the activity type unset by default. Is there a way to do either of these, or a fix that would make it possible?
