In recent days, Thickbox's author has updated to a new, major release. It includes various compatiblity fixes and some new features that I think everyone would benefit from. I replaced the version of the files from HEAD with the new ones and it works well. The only thing that's missing is the "loading" animated GIF. That's because the way it's currently set up you need to hard-code the path to the file.

Please consider including it in the official release for this module.

p.s.: Don't forget to grab the new .css file.

I tried a earlier update of Thickbox and could not get it to work with the jQuery version that ships with Drupal 5. I have now tested Thickbox 3 and it seems to work! Thanks for the tips!

I have just committed this to HEAD. Please try it out and report any issues here.

Thickbox 3 was backported to DRUPAL-5 and no followups were posted here regarding bugs for over 2 months, so IMO this issue is "fixed."
