Chinese text problem - need some coding help

I am able to convert a single line Chinese text perfectly. However, when I have text that will wrap because it is wider than the max width I defined, I get extra line feeds.

I think this is due to the code interpreting some of unicode text as being a space, there being too much space between characters, or maybe a line feed.

Can someone provide some guidance how I can modify the new dev code in order to get textimage to ignore spaces or look for a larger space between characters?

I would like to try to see if this solves my problem.

I have attached an image showing the unconverted text and the textimage text. It's not the font. I tried several different Chinese fonts and get the same exact results.

I am open to other ideas also.
