Hello,
I have a problem with the module (which is exactly what I needed and is great, by the way). When I visit my site as a non-administrator user, I get the warning mentioned in the title. By googling a little bit I found out that it also happens with other modules and that it can be fixed with a little tinkering, but I'm not an expert and don't know where to start (apart from... line 288 as you can see in the screenshot). Could you please give me a hint about this?

boobaaFirst, you have not described how to reproduce the bug, which I was unable to do so.
Second, this bug seems to be duplicate of #1074100: Error when enabling the formatter in panels with multilanguage setup and I have applied the patch found there to the 6.x-1.x branch. Please give it a test and report back whether your bug has been solved; if it still persists, please do describe how to reproduce it.
