one of the best feature of the module is the views integration.
but it seems that it counts (and shows) all nodes under a certain term
even if the nodes are filtered out in the views.

Currently it counts the number of nodes for that term. I'm not sure if this is possible. Taxonomy Menu doesn't know which view you are using. It doesn't really care.

I'll look over the views api and see if i can find something that would help.
