theodorosploumisBe sure to check that the CSV file or text is UTF-8 encoded. I had the same problem so I saved my csv file in UTF-8 and the job was done successfully!

christopherreay commentedMany thanks for the reply.
It is possible that the file was not UTF-8 encoded, as I output myself from Python.
I am pretty sure it was. If I have time somepoint, I will check if this was the problem
Thanks again
Potentially a better error message here? I dont know what the problem with the encoding or getting php to discover encodings is.
I used the same file with TAxonomy_xml, and had no issues. Anyone know if this has bearing on the mattera?

Daniel_KM commentedHi,
Thanks for your detailled report. Unfortunately, I can't reproduce your error.
The Taxonomy CSV module doesn't use any specific permission, so if you can see the CSV import page, you have rights to import a taxonomy. Normally, you can use any format, UTF-8 or another one.
Most usually, "Access denied" error is related to a cookie issue. So you can clean your cookies caches and restart your browser. It can occur too when you import a big vocabulary if your "max_allowed_packet" option is too small.
A search on Drupal.org shows that there are multiple possibilities with this problem: run of update.php needed, issue with node permissions or with another module, multiple opened pages...
You can add a more precise message with
print_r(debug_backtrace(), TRUE)too.Sincerely,

Daniel_KM commentedHi,
Permissions has been added to last dev release of Taxonomy CSV, so this thread is probably outdated.
