As great an idea as this is, I really don't see it working in its current form. For a bot-creater, it's the work of a moment to add '|| $var==" [at] "' to his code and utterly defeat this thing. The second example on www.spamspan.com looks like it would work /much/ better than what's currently implemented (where the @ is replaced by an image), in my view of things. For that matter, I can even imagine a /more/ effective version that replaces the period, com, org and net domain endings with images.

Excellent idea, and good drupal implementation- I'd love to see this become effective.

This is actually implemented in the current (Verified with 6.x-1.2) version. You can configure the filter when you go to /admin/settings/filters choose the filter you want to apply spamspan to, then activate it and then hit configure to choose how the email adress is going to be obscured. Check /admin/settings/filters/1/configure if you don't find the link, it's a bit hidden ;)

Hi,

Tried this - done everything required to make it work - has no effect whatsoever.

Also tried Invisimail - has no effect whatsoever.

Using Drupal 6.9.

Only option I have at present is to hide email addresses from views that have them.

Pity.

Cheers.

Mike
