Should Spaces 6.x-3.0-alpha2, Purl 6.x-1.0-beta8, and Pathauto 6.x-1.2 work together?

The purl modifier I have for groups is PATH.

I have set admin/build/path/pathauto to [title-raw] for groups. Seems to work OK.

However, for Blog (spaces_blog feature - which can exist in and out of groups), or Page (standard content type not in feature), I have tried content/[title-raw] or [title-raw], but both result in "page not found" upon submitting node creation.

Yes, the path alias issues in the PURL beta8 release should be addressed. I've just tested pathauto briefly with the current PURL and Spaces codebases and it appeared to work with the default settings (content/[title-raw]).

Are there any other aspects in your setup that may be involved? For example, is locale on with language negotiation?

Also, if you're able to install and use SimpleTest, does the path alias test for PURL have any errors?

When you say current codebase I presume we're talking Spaces 6.x-3.0-alpha2?

I think I'll go to a clean install of the spaces 3 demo and take it from there, try the SimpleTest.

I'll report back.

@MichaelP I would do a CVS checkout of the DRUPAL-6--3 branch of Spaces if you can -- we've made quite a lot of fixes and change since ALPHA2.

I drush made http://drupal.org/project/spacesdemo.

In order to fix errors (posted in Spaces, Purl issue q), I CVS checked out spaces-DRUPAL-6--3, context-DRUPAL-6--3, purl-DRUPAL-6--1.

Pathauto-6.x-1.2 now appears to work a treat with this setup with out-of-the-box configuration for all nodes!

I'll investigate further with Locale etc - see can I break things.

We have been using this config in test for some days now, with locale module active. All seems OK.
