Does spaces work with panels3?

I have a few pages that use panels

profile
and some node pages

so the pages that I override are user/%user and node/%node

Does panel override work with OA?

I see that context allows me to have a panel page but I am not sure if spaces does also?

Can I instead use a mini-panel but how would I override the profile page or a node page?
