Dear all,

thank you at first for this interesting product. I have set up the standard spaces version under Drupal 5.14, which I checked out from CVS DRUPAL-5--2. Everything is working so far fairly smoothly. I have also managed to integrate polls for organic groups via spaces, which seems to be *very* easy.

When I come though to setting up spaces calendar my luck fades. Browsing the code I read the following

 * TODO Make setup easier. Currenly you need to manually create three content types 'event',
 * 'feed_ical', 'feed_ical_item' that has a field called 'field_date' for this module to work.
 * We need to document the feed api integration as well.

So I did the following while installing the spaces calendar module:

1. Created a content type "event", "feed_ical", "feed_ical_item"
2. Attached a CCK field to "feed_ical_item" which is of type datestamp and is called "field_date"
3. Installing/reinstalling the spaces calendar module
4. Browsing to /admin/build/context I cannot find an entry for "event" or calendar

What am I forgetting here? Would be very grateful for an answer.

Best wishes for the new year.

Sebastian

p.s. sorry I could not post under a different version than 6.x

Hi Sebastian,

First of all, very sorry for lack of documentation on this one. I'm very glad you got as far as you did reading comments : )

Try going to admin/settings/spaces/calendar and configuring the different settings for node types and fields. Once those are set up, please go to admin/build/views/tools and clear your views cache to make sure your views are up to date with the new settings.

In general, we are focusing our development efforts on getting a stable release of the Drupal 6 version of Spaces out so the support for Drupal 5 may be a little shoddy -- we would love patches or backports from D6 to the D5 branch if you're interested : )

The calendar feature from the old DRUPAL-5--1 Spaces branch will be available for D6 as a feature for Open Atrium (http://openatrium.com) when it's released. It should be fairly easy to repurpose for use with any other spaces project.

Closing, the calendar is now available as part of atrium now.
