Assigning a mandatory "from" address

The "contact module" in Drupal will use the "from" address entered in by visitors, and this might cause some SMTP servers to complain.

I would suggest a checkbox in the SMTP Authentication Support settings that would allow users to always override the "from" address. Then, you could allow the user to create a message that would be prepended to the outgoing email message. This could also have "token" support.

This way all outgoing email could be setup to look like this:

From: noreply@mywebsite.com
To: recipient@recipientaddress.com
Message:

Do not reply to this email. This is an automated message delivery system.
From: user-supplied-from-address@example.com

I would be willing to write the patch for this, if anyone is interested.
