syntax error

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /var/www/***/sites/all/modules/smtp/phpmailer/class.phpmailer.php on line 45

Hi, i get this error. Seems like PHPmailer error but then again could be something wrong with stuff SMTP module feeds PHPmailer. Any ideas? Im using latest 2.3 version of PHPmailer.
