I am using Drupal core 8.4.0. I have tried SMPT version 8.x-1.0-beta2 and 8.x-1.0-beta3 but unable to send an email from the server.

Error log says - SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host.

Anybody has tried with these latest versions of Drupal core and SMTP?

It's working for me (Drupal 8.4.0 & SMTP 8.x-1.0-beta3).

Make sure the ports for SMTP are open from your hosting service (25, 465 depending on SSL no/yes).

SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host. Here check with host , try out with mailtrap account or something like that gmail and local networks may not work in localhost.
