Hello.

I had to disable 'Smart tabs' because it causes a page to get stuck whereby the other tabs don't work. If another tab was clicked, the page in Smart tab memory would just reload. I'm not sure if it is caused by a conflict with another module or not. Good concept, though.

I'm hoping I can use Smart menus. I just enabled it.

I'm using Drupal 6.16.

Thank you Sherry, for your interest in Smart tabs and sorry you came across a page where it didn't work as advertised...
It would be great if you could provide some more details. For instance what URL do you see in the address bar of your browser when the tabs "get stuck"? Without it I don't have much to go by to help you out.
Also, as explained on the project page, by going to Administer >> Site configuration >> Smart tabs you can exclude just that page from exhibiting "smart" behaviour, which means you can still enjoy the module anywhere else on your site.

Thanks for your reply, RdeBoer.

It was in Administrator => Blocks => stuck on 'Add Block' whereby I couldn't view the Blocks 'List' page.

I hope to use it but I need to be sure no other pages experience this behavior. Again, I do like the concept.

Was the "Smart menus" module enabled also?
Did you try putting "admin/build/block*" on the "Pages to exclude" list at Administer >> Site configuration >> Smart tabs?
On the same page, could you try and tick "Enable debug info". That will give you some info as to why Smart tabs is doing what it does.

Smart menus was also enabled.

It's nice to know that I can probably use it elsewhere. I have to give it more thought when I have a chance and I'll look at the debug info then, too. I'm in a time crunch right now. I look forward to using it, hopefully soon.

The following all seem to be manifestations of the same underlying issue, which unfortunately I haven't been able to reproduce yet in 6.x.1.5:

#707782: When clicking first tab (i.e. View), Smart tabs redirects to last clicked tab (e.g Edit)

same issue on a variety of pages
notably edit view content types
edit view Node
Also when user's requested to join a moderated group, they were joined automatically and had access to the group node edit tab and screen
Disabling smart tabs resolved all issues
