I pasted the example from the doc and got Prev/Next actions, but no images. It looks like:
Previous Slide 1/2 NextDrupalThe ultimate CMS. Download it now!MySQLFree and reliable SQL server and client.
if(typeof(window['ssc_settings'])=='undefined') { ssc_settings = new Object(); }
ssc_settings['20f96f6c3'] = new Object();
ssc_settings['20f96f6c3'].pause = true;
ssc_settings['20f96f6c3'].next = '#ssc-next-20f96f6c3';
ssc_settings['20f96f6c3'].prev = '#ssc-previous-20f96f6c3';
ssc_settings['20f96f6c3'].height = '240px';
The example reads:

rhouse commentedIt looks like another filter is messing up your slideshow. You have ignored the instructions to post full details when raising issues, so I can't help you until you follow the instructions.

lfstevens commentedThanks for the response. I watched the issues video and am still clueless about what additional info you are looking for. I'd appreciate it if you'd point me to a description.
I removed the "Limit allowed HTML tags" filter from the Filtered HTML text format. I should have mentioned that I had already removed the dir= component from the example. Now it yields:

rhouse commentedOn the "Create a new issue" page it says:
Turning to your problem, put simply, parts of the slideshow output are being displayed instead of being interpreted as a slideshow. That means something else is messing things up. In particular, is javascript running, and which other test filters are also having a go at altering the output.
But in passing, you should not be using this filter in "filtered html" text format, because that format is designed for prohibiting all html that isn't completely safe for untrusted users to subject your site to. But this filter is for trusted users only, as it can, if misused, slow page loading and run javascript on client's machines. It should only be available for trusted users. Create a new text format for this filter.
If you still can't get it to work, why not post the complete html for your test page? (And provide the information requested when you first created this issue.)

The slideshow item is listed above.
I created a new text filter that uses only the slideshow filter. Now I get no output. The slideshow script is include in the page. But there is no content that looks like it has to do with the slideshow. (The only ref to drupal.org is for RSS.) Here's the source:

rhouse commentedI didn't mean post the complete output of the html page, I meant post your complete html for the text field in which you embedded your slideshow, so I can see that you embedded it correctly. And whatever the above is, it certainly isn't output from a page that contained a slideshow. Another thought: did you type in the slideshow with GUI editor running? They mess up the html. Turn to html mode.

lfstevens commentedNot sure this is what you meant, but here is what appears when I change the text format to Full HTML.
Under construction -

rhouse commentedIt looks like you are not running the slideshow creator filter. The input has been passed straight through to the output. Or you entered the slideshow code using a WYSIWYG editor and it has changed it somehow, so it looks right but has some characters replaced by html character codes, for example. Or you are running some other filter in the same text format that is interfering with the slideshow code. I am not sure what else I can do to help you. This filter works. I don't think I can do any better in trying to guess what your mistake is. If any other readers have any ideas, please chime in.

lfstevens commentedThe mists clear. I had put the show on the front page of the site. When I put the same text on a different page (and set the filters to slideshow, correct chopped, convert urls and convert line breaks) it worked. The break comment fixed it.

rhouse commentedThat's odd. I have slideshows appear on the front page no problems. Anyway, as long as it is working. Maybe the teaser break happened in the middle of the slideshow?
