Steps to reproduce

Go to https://www.drupal.org/project/slick.
Click "Try out a demonstration" link under "Resources" on right side of page
New tab opens "https://gaus.vip/project/slick"
"This site can’t be reached
Check if there is a typo in gaus.vip.
DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN"

Proposed resolution

Update link to go to https://kenwheeler.github.io/slick/ or remove link.

You’re correct. No worries :)

As noted in the linked issue, this was left intentionally. It is no longer maintained, but contains advanced samples (marquees done right, 4 placements of tabs/thumbnails/dots, 3D slicebox, ajaxified Slick Views, massive slider groupings like seen in modern e-commerce apps, etc) intended for those who know how to access them via the Wayback Machine (WM) for study or inspiration purposes.

Many useful links have been removed from the main project's body to maintain the flow and make the Performance & Technical Accountability section a bit more visible, not hidden in plain sight like it used to be. Having maintained the decade-old discreet approach intended for harmony; I found it fail and still attract circular legacy anecdotes. I am positive, with the new approach we can all speak quality data as mandated by the project issues' requirements.

About the peripheral link, I don't want to limit WM users' access to it, but if it bothers you, it is removed.

Please refer to the linked issue to add your findings there so others can benefit.
