There is a tiny bug that i noticed with the dev version (2010-Oct-03 build).... When a user posts a comment, i figure that, upon submit, the page refresh leads him directly to the comment perma-link on Google Chrome, which is neat. However, this behavior does not hold true in Firefox 3.6.10 and IE8. The user is redirected to the top of the page.
Alternatively, when i paste the link like http://example.com/node/3#comment-20 , it leads me to the top of the page, and not to the comment on the listed browsers...

njathan commentedI upgraded to the 2010-Oct-10 build of the dev version... While the problem seems to have disappeared in my localhost test install (using firefox browser), i cant seem to understand why i am still facing this in the production website on the internet. I have tried upgrade.php, cleared drupal cache, cleared browser cache, disabled 'page compression', 'Optimize javascript files' and 'Optimize CSS files' (if that matters).. still to no effect. Finally i have tried uninstalling the module, removing the folder in cpanel and installing it again... still no luck.
(same dilemma goes for the issue discussed in http://drupal.org/node/936616 - the Ajax Moderation feature)
BTW I am using JQuery UI 1.7.3 and JQuery update 6.x-2.0-alpha1 (which another module WYSIWYG Image Upload requires) on the public server. The jquery version on the localhost (where the problem's disappeared) is the one shipped with drupal itself.
I will test with same jquery version on localhost and post my experience here.

njathan commentedI found that the permalink problem had to do with subscription module...
