I change stuff in the appearance.css file and I can't see any of the changes. I tried refreshing, ctrl+f5, resetting apache. I can't get any of the change to show. Please help.

Do you have CSS compression on? Check the bottom of this page: /admin/settings/performance. If it's on, disable it and refresh again.

That's not the best feature to have enabled during development unless you want to drive yourself nuts. :)
