Using the 8/25/08 dev release, despite turning off "DISPLAY POST INFORMATION" in Home » Administer » Site building » Themes (Global) for particular content types, the Sky theme does not suppress the post information display. The standard Garland theme honors the flag, so I'm fairly certain it's a Sky theme issue.

jacineI assume you are talking about forum nodes and this is by design...
If not, can you please be more specific.
WindSlash commentedI've also ran into this issue today as well. After testing this for a bit, I believe OP is saying that whatever is set in the GLOBAL setting for all themes (not Sky) is not being applied (which is probably the intended behavior).
Post information is always enabled for Blog, forum topic, story.
Post information is always disabled for Book page, page.
Perhaps it would a nice add-on feature if admins can adjust them for the Sky theme (particularly for the disabled ones)?

jacineI just looked into this further, and noticed it happening on my local copy. This is NOT the intended behavior - only for the forum nodes - but I'm not sure this if is related to the theme or not because it was not happening when I put out this release initially.
I am noticing some odd issues though that could be related to this. The theme is not staying active on admin/build/themes. I can't tell when it's being disabled or why. I've also noticed that when I make a change to post information visibility, by node, the changes are not reflected unless I go to the sky theme settings page, and resubmit the form, which is very odd.
I'll have to look into it more, but it may be related to this: http://drupal.org/node/305653

WindSlash commentedYou're right, Jacine.
It worked with your method (resubmit the form on Sky theme).
Looks like this is a Drupal 6.4 bug, not Sky.

jacineWindSlash, thanks for the support in the issue queue and for confirming the behavior. It's much appreciated :)
There is a patch for it, which I wholeheartedly tried to apply and test, but failed. I guess we'll have to wait and see on this one. I'll keep my eye on it.

citronica commentedThanks for this thread... I had the exact same problem. I also had success by first making the change to the Global theme settings page, saving, and then switching to the Sky settings and saving the configuration there as well.
